Swat opens with sub-30s from Trae and DMitch, but E Team answers with a mild number from Aldridge and a DNP from Ingram. I'm okay with Lowry as a backup; he's been pretty solid. The nightmare scenario is Ingram coming back in the 2nd Chance and sucking. We'll see.
Hey, there's a question. Should a team owner have the right to choose between the sub and the 2nd Chance if the backup hasn't gone yet? (Obviously, if the backup had gone tonight and put up an 80, the answer would be no.)
In this case, Ingram's backup, Lowry, goes tomorrow. The Lakers play again on Wednesday. Yes, Ingram could still be ailing - or not - and I have no way of knowing how well Lowry will do. This did come up in our discussions, but we never finalized it.
Nice action at the top of the bill in Finals Match 1, where KAT edges Westbrook 58-57, but Swat goes kinda quiet down the lineup and finishes at 212. E Team's next two guys aren't very special, either, and he may have to take a 20 from Lowry as a backup to Ingram, who is questionable for tomorrow night. That leaves some lifting for Drummond and Beal, 74 fp's by my tally.
What it do? What Drummond and Beal done is what they've been doing most of the year, putting up numbers, 52 and 45 in this case, and powering the E Team, which takes a 1-0 Finals lead with a 236-212 over the Swat Team.
So much for the giant firefight in the Finals.

Cool. For me. For now.
I confirm 236-212- ETeam win over Swat...Wingos beat Invaders 189-179 that's it for us correct?...NIT Ticket equalizes beating Nitecaps 169-106
ReplyDeleteInvaders finish 4th. That's absurd.
