I saw the A's play the Pilots in 1969 abainst the A's here I paid a dollar the summer between 7th and 8th grade every Saturday and sat in the bleachers I sat right behind the old wood wall and saw Tommy Davis in left for Seattle. I remember the old Candlestick with the see through fence to the bay the wind would cross in the outfield making it even more amazing those great Giant teams hit so many homers in cold foggy windy conditions
Well, the E Team's season is over. Nurkic clocks out with a 34 and the E Team retires with a 220.
Meanwhile, Swat gets a 50 from the KAT, but sees Dame give up a lot of touches late and stop at 37. He's sitting at 157.
The season will end tomorrow night when Vuce, a 40 machine, travels to Washington, where nobody guards anybody, and the rookie Trae is at home against the veteran Mike Conley, who is the starting point - literally - of a very defensive-minded Memphis team.
It looks to me like Sean should get his 64 fp's, but I guess the Fantasy Gods will make that decision. All anybody can do is wait and see.
The No. 4 seed, who with two matches left in the regular season was in danger of being knocked out of the Dance, takes out the best regular season team in league history, and another team that was even better down the stretch.
E Team 236, 212 Swat 239-233 Swat 229-220.
Good stuff. Big ups to the new champ. Well done!
Anybody want to get together a week from Friday (3/22) or the week after (3/29)? Open to other suggestions as well, but this weekend probably doesn't work for me.
Hey Mark or Dave: Could one of you guys put up some kind of 2018-2019 post-mortem header? (We can reserve this space for well-deserved praise on Swat's dazzling title run.) I've got some other tasty topics to weigh in on, including the all-time champion list, meet-up planning and, yes, payout (and pay up) information.
And April 5th sounds fine, unless of course you guys want to wait until... 4/20. We can see if there's a reggae festival down in Humboldt. Meet up there.

ReplyDeleteSo awesome.
DeleteToday I had tutoring in Alameda when you come through the tube to the island from Oakland the first cross street on Webster is Willie Stargell Ave.
ReplyDeleteLamarcus Aldridge closes out his season with a 40, while Swat's BojBo turns in a solid 30.
ReplyDeleteBut here's trouble. E Team stays loyal to the fast-fading Markkanen and is rewarded with a 16. Ouch. That could be a factor, my friends.
