I feel like Tatum has lost his mojo, of the big second half he had last year, with all the trade talk. I just can't roll him out there with 16, 19, 19 FPPG since All-Star Break, time to call up my BojBog for the first round one and done:
Damian 1: - Lavine 1/2: Mitchell 1/2: - J. Murray 1/2: Boj. Bogdanovic 2/3: - Tatum 3/4: Vucevic 4/5: - Isaac 3/4: KAT 5: - Valanciunas 5: T. Young 1: - Ayton 5:
Yes, don't forget the one-off for seventh place. We used to stick the last-place finisher with a drink tab - and we could still try (I suppose it's still in the rule book) - but it may just be one last match and your pride at this point.
I personally favor the rookie Alt-D, who has remained competitive and done no whining despite a tough first season and would be warmly welcomed back next season if it were up to me. Go Sam!
Wow. Invaders and Swat seemingly eager get back out there: KAT puts up a 63, Harden falls one fp short of an 80!
But the Invaders seem bit by the injury bug at the worst possible time. Already without Wall, they may have to go without Embiid again, and the backup bigs have disappeared. Sabonis... out. Bagley, who went for 41 in Match 1... out. Okafor... ruined by ADave's 20-minute regimen, which is about the stupidest, most unnatural thing I've ever seen. Is it Jabari time? With a season for the ages on the line? Wow!
Can the fading Wingos pull a victory out of theur rear end against the red hot and rolling E-bags? Doubtful, but this is how they will try: 1-Kemba (Fox) 2-Butler (Bledsoe) 3-Giannis (Hardaway) 4-Tobias (Millsap) 5-Boogie (JAllen) U-JCollins (Oubre)
In response to Eric's speculation as to what I'm going to do about my injured big guys here is where that stands as I see it. Embiid is less than 50/50 at this point for the Warriors game.Pelicans play Suns and then Denver back to back if AD sits that first game which is logical then I can play Okafor. Since Embiid is iffy and has one scheduled game what to do here?? I will play him at the 6 because if he doesn't go I have more options behind him like Williams/Gallinari/Parker etc. Who at the 5? I can play Griffin and put Galinari or Parker at 4 but there's another option that involves international politics and the Blazers. Kanter is not in Toronto waiting ahead in Charlotte for an early game Sunday. Well rested he is likely to play more minutes in that game but more importantly he can only be used as a starter since a backup's 2nd game can't be used. For this reason it appears I'm forced to play Kanter at 5 and Embiid at 6 but if AD is benched before the Sun game then I might make Okafor either the 5 or more likely the backup 6 to Embiid.
Ok Davis inexplicably is playing against Phoenix so Invaders forced into a desperation lineup......Kanter/Okafor...Griffin/Parker...Derozan/Gallinari...Harden/Hood...Russell/Clarkson...Embiid/Williams

Mark, Dave: Where is the Match 2 scores post?! The action is fast and furious!
ReplyDeleteAlso, Dave, you can't back up your guys by posting your starters twice.
ReplyDeleteOh my.
ReplyDeleteSwat passes on Zach Lavine, who's sitting on a 51 in triple OT, but has Trae Young at 70-plus.
Oh my.
Oh, I see. Dave changed his lineup. My bad.
